Ingredients for Fried Tofu with Dipping Sauce
(Serving 1 to 2 persons) Preparation and cooking time = 15 minutes * 1 packet of firm tofu, sliced * 3 tablespoon of chopped green onion
* 5 tablespoon of soysauce
* 1 – 2 teaspoon of minced garlic
* 1 teaspoon of red chili powder
* 1 teaspoon of toasted sesame seeds
* pinch of ground black pepper
* 2 pinch of sugar
* 3 tablespoon of canola or any cooking oil
* 1/2 teaspoon of mirin (optional) Instruction: Add chopped green onion, soysauce, sesame oil, toasted sesame seeds, red chili powder, minced garlic, sugar and pinch of black pepper and mix it well. That's all you need to do for the sauce. Next, slice tofu into a cube size and fry in high heat 5-10 minutes each side until it's golden brown. When the tofu is golden brown on both side, place the tofu on a plate. If you're controlling the sodium intake volume then dip tofu into a sauce and eat it that way. You can pour some of the sauce on top of the tofu and eat it that way too.
