Here is a quick and delicious option to cooking broccoli as a side dish! This crispy roasted broccoli is simple and amazing and I guarantee that even the broccoli hater in your house will end up loving it. Just ask Rick! This broccoli is simply coated with olive oil, seasoned salt, I used my super savory salt blend and some fresh garlic to make this irresistible vegetable that my whole family loves! I could just eat this whole bowl by itself and call it good! You think two pounds of broccoli is too much? Guess again. We had just a little left over that Molly has already claimed for her lunch tomorrow. She will probably heat this up to eat with some grilled chicken and leftover rice. When you have the components available, delicious meals are just minutes away. I purchased a bag of broccoli florets in my last Sam's Club haul from a week ago. The two pound bag cost just over $3. I popped them into a large bowl and drizzled with 1/4 cup of olive oil a healthy spoon of prepared minced garlic and a hearty sprinkling of my super savory salt. I tossed everything really well with my hands being sure to coat everything with oil. You can find that salt video here: http://bit.ly/2rh43xP I lined a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and poured the prepped broccoli on there, being sure to put them "fluffy" side up. I placed the pan into a preheated 400 degree oven and let them roast for 25 minutes, checking at the 20 minute mark and flipping the pan around to get even browning. When the broccoli was done and smelled and looked amazing, I removed from the oven and allowed it to cool slightly. The result is a tender crisp fresh broccoli with amazing roasted flavor that is enhanced by only the garlic and seasoned salt we added to it. This is a great way to encourage your family to eat more veggies! This is also great the next day cold added to a salad or simple topped with a bit of homemade dressing and a handful of nuts and dried cherries or cranberries. If you have never given crispy roasted broccoli a try, I hope you will sometime soon and I hope you and your family love it!
